The VR installation takes you on a roller coaster ride through a fantastic world. The presentation of the fantastic world with surreal scenarios and elements that don't seem to belong together is accompanied by a AI-generated voice. Inspired by the chalk drawings on the floor around Regine Schulz's large-scale steel sculpture and a collective digital drawing from online platforms like r/place, I developed the concept of user-determined design for the metaverse. The exhibition situation raises the question of how space is produced in the metaverse and in what aesthetic situation we participate in it performatively. The metaverse offers a space that does not necessarily reference physical reality and to which everyone has immediate access from anywhere, enabling a more diverse and democratic space through new forms of participation and communication.
