There are, everyday, about 200 people cease to live in the city of Liverpool. The variety of community harmoniously living in the city has lead to the demand a metropolitan cemetary that can equally embrace all races and beliefs. Despite the conventional cremation, I have found a newly introduced burial option that are more environmental friendly and maybe even radical. It is a burial suit that has mushroom microorganism that can consume human body and the toxic substances that couldn’t have been decomposed otherwise, creating a compass and more fertile earth. To take this as a starting point, the project aims to recreate the journey that the deceased body will go through - growing from underground to the daylight.
